It's disposable in the sense that it's cheaper to buy another engine than to rebuild one. That's really the definition of disposable. It has nothing to do with quality or performance.
A 2-stroke H2 engine, on the other hand, is cheaper to rebuild than to buy one ready to run, so as primitive as it is, it's not disposable.
