I have a feeling you weren't looking through the whole turn when you ran off the road. I think that was probably one of the decreasing radius turns, and if you don't look at the turn's exit early on, it's very easy to get taken by surprise.
Also, I'd recommend (not that you asked) that you practice staying away from the center line. Unlike a track, it's best to not let your tires get left of about the middle of the lane on the left curves. You're leaning left at that point, so if you want your head to stay in the lane, your tires have to be over in the middle.
