My understanding is that the fan runs a lot (more on the newer models?), out of necessity.

I know on the 690 you could get a thermostat switch that started the fan at a lower temp; my colleague fitted this as he wa nervous how warm his '17 690 got sitting at lights.

I'd have thought the vast number of Indian owners would have a lot of data on this, as they run the bikes daily.
