Maybe clutch-cable needs to be tightened just tad more?

Also make sure both levers coming off shift-rod is oriented 90-degrees to it. One connects to transmission and one to shift-pedal.

Any mirror that fits pre-gen '88-07 bikes will also work on '86-87.
