I also think you're currently suffering with NewItem-itis. Every time you make a large purchase of something new (car, bike, etc), you really go all out to take care of it. At least for me, it wears off

NewItem itis does not go away for me XD
And as far as a track bike, track days haven't seemed that appealing to me. I haven't done one yet but I don't think it would be nearly as fun as twisties in the country side
