The pivot mechanism should have been working flawlessly for at least 5 years.

I assume that Bilt would be more interested in honoring the warranty than the store; although, again, if they would not, they could use the argument of possible improper re-installation on your part.

Unfortunately, I don't see a way to contact the factory directly, only Cycle Gear.
