honestly the only real difference from what ive seen/heard/read is fitment, sadly the more expensive does not equal better fitment. I had a hell of a time getting my rear seat cowl to sit properly. had to unscrew everything, bend it around and whatnot. Now it fits nice and snug, however theres still about a pinky sized gap on 1 side and if i try to adjust it, it'll just move to the opposite side.
I dont think anyone has noticed other than me though. Talked to a guy earlier today who owned a cbr600 and he got within a couple feet of my bike and thought the cowl was stock, even with screwed up fitment lol
