The universal advice is both simple, and unerring. Don't finance a bike. Ever. Any justification for why it is a good idea is in fact a bad idea. Financing a bike you don't want to eventually be able to finance a bike that you do want is taking it to the next level.

The only possible exception would be 0% financing with zero pre-payment penalty, when one can pay off the entire note before any interest comes due. Truly any other financial arrangement in financing a bike is just a bad idea all around.

If you can save $1000, you can save $5000. If you can save $5000, why would you want to waste thousands on interest charges?
