Hi Guys,

I just wanted to comment on the indicator (flasher) relay mentioned in the original post in this thread. For anyone out there looking to fix the non functioning LED indicator problem, DO NOT buy the LL552 flasher mentioned in the first post. I'm not sure why that part in particular is suggested, but it's the exact same type of relay that was originally on the bike, and does NOT work with LED indicators.

For that you need an EP34 or similar flasher, and you'll notice that it says "LED" right on the part. That type uses a relay and an electronic circuit to switch, so it doesn't require the resistance of the bulb to turn on and off. It also requires a ground termination that you'll have to connect yourself.

I wasted the better part of a day getting the LL552 installed only to find out it didn't do anything!

I've attached some pictures to help clarify the difference between these parts since it's otherwise pretty vague.

Cheers,
Owen
