Thanks for the birthday wishes. Unfortunately my day was spent uncomfortably. I didn't go to the hospital because I didn't want to go if nothing was really wrong, I've waited hours in the ER for nothing in the past. My neck hurts a lot unless I'm laying down flat on my back so if that's still a probably I think I'll go in tomorrow. The half of my body that slid on the ground but I can ignore it most of the time. The road rash hurts like heck still but I'm keeping it clean.

Yes I was wearing it and I can confidently say that it saved my life. When I went down it was around 35 mph and the helmet made contact with the ground about 4 times hitting it and bouncing back up repeat let as I was sliding. If that was my bare head repeatedly smashing the ground... Well I don't really want to think about it.
