Winter prep routine:

1) Go for one last ride, need not be long (10 minutes). Put stabilizer in first to make sure it gets into the carbs.

2) If you're going for a longer ride, bring the stabilizer with you and fill up + add stabilizer just before you get home.

3) While the bike is still warm, change the oil and lube the chain.

4) Put bike in its storage location and attach your Batter Tender or equivalent.

5) If you have paddock stands, put the bike up on them. If not, don't worry about it.

6) If you park outdoors or in a shed where vermin can get in, cover your exhaust pipes so you don't wind up with mice in there.

7) Walk away until spring. Do not start the bike up in mid-winter unless you're prepared to get it fully warm (and thereby get rid of any condensation).

In spring, the bike will fire right up every time. Check your tires and go.
