I might look at shaving a few thousandths of the end of the valve stem if it looks like it might become an issue. The gap is tight now so it may only a matter of time before the valve doesn't fully close. Taking a small amount off the underside of the rocker arm to allow the ball to move up slightly is the least obtrusive solution. The place where material is removed in this case is not subject to friction or wear and should provide an effective solution. My second choice would be to reprofile the ball but this will probably cause a loss of hardening on the ball bearing surface which may lead to added wear on the ball - with any luck this could compensate for the ongoing valve seat recession?
