Ha, no... The guys that have be en in machine shops for over 30 years are still hearing just fine under normal circumstances.

After 8 years (YES, I worked when I was 8, my dad is cool like that

) of working in a shop, I can still hear things most people can't. It didn't affect my interview at Sonic last year (quit that job after 8 months, 1 job is enough for me).
