I agree to a point. Heavy wind days, low visibility days, I'll take a trainer over the road. People in Houston have a hard enough time just driving on a clear day, never mind a low visibility day.
I plan on building a small table that sits just above my handlebars. That way when I am on the trainer, I can put my laptop in front of me and watch a movie. It is like the road to me. Normally the scenery keeps my mind off of what I am doing where I enjoy the ride, even if I am pushing myself. Well playing a movie on it would do the same thing. Not to mention I can read the forums while I work out. Multitasking FTW!!!
