Sorry just saw this. No. I used my impact wrench to both remove and reinstall the nut. I don't recommend using an impact to install the nut. I'm a mechanic with a pretty good feel for these kinds of things and only used the impact because it's my own bike. If it had been a customers I would have bought the correct tool.
The basket holder tool isn't too expensive and is definitely the correct way to remove.and reinstall the nut.
