I wanted the new R6 to be a triple. In fact it's the same old engine. But it would have been easy for them to start with the FZ09 motor, destroke it, add titanium valves and high end springs and up the compression to 13.5.

Basically I wanted the 3rd gen triumph 675 motor in the R6 chassis. Would have been a world beater. What they did for the '17 R6 doesn't really excite me. It's basically just new plastics and some electronics. Big deal.
