Can anyone from Ohio help me out here?

I was planning to get my permit tomorrow, now I'm not sure if I can. The bmv website says I have to have my birth certificate or a passport to prove I'm here legally, my license doesn't show my "full legal name" (it's always just been my middle initial so it doesn't prove my full legal name - even though that's on my social security card but that doesn't count).

so I'm just left sitting here going "wtf????"

according to the website they are supposed to ask for all this crap whenever you do anything with them (renewing license, etc), but I've been here since 08 and never had to have any of it!

I never had to jump through these kind of hoops to replace a lost social security card!
