I always just take a folder full of all sorts of stuff and hand them to the folks they look at one or two papers, hand them back and say thank you; I was told "bringing all that is not necessary" a time or two, I still do it and still smile like a fool when they open it up
It has military papers, birth papers, social security, tax papers, bills, bank info, all sorts of mess, if less folks rolled their eyes when I pulled it out I'd probably stop and just take a few papers
