If you know it's going to sit for any period of time, drain the carbs. If it's going to sit for much longer than 3 weeks, you should also stabilize the gas in the tank and put the battery on a tender.

I mean if you want to play with the jetting, you could pull the carbs, pop off the plugs on the epa caps, and put 1 washer on the needles. Then tune the idle mix screws 1/8 turn at a time until it feels better starting and riding.

If at all possible, it would definitely help to get it out and running once a week or so. They're kinda grouchy to start when they sit.
