Changing spark plugs is not a bad idea especially if they have not been changed yet. Kawasaki recommends replacement @ 7500 miles, so if you have not replaced them on your 2008, there is no time like the present. While you're at it, throw in some Iridium Plugs (for a tiny performance bump) for a few dollars more, also replace the stock air filter if you haven't already done so.

A little high revving shouldn't hurt anything. As far as the vibration goes, just make sure everything is tightened correctly especially everything around the exhaust.

Have you had the valves adjusted?
