To all the naysayers, those who say that there is anything wrong with IRC roadwinners on a commuting bike, or really, any bike that isn't going to the track, I say
.
Earlier today (ok, last night, but I work nights, so I haven't gone to bed yet and it's still today for me) I passed 20,000 miles on my 250. Original tires. The back is badly worn, and they will be replaced this weekend. The front will be replaced as well as the back, but I wouldn't be surprised if I could get another 10,000 miles out of it.
The wear bars are gone, as well as the tread in the center. But no cords showing, and no problems riding in the rain this past week. (until I got home, mud is not the place for these tires anyway)
Oh, and I bought the new pair for right around 170 bucks front and back.
