I was of the same opinion that the IRC tires were decent ok ones and thought that these guys were crazy getting rid of a tire that had thousands of miles left on it to ride, I just replaced my original front one due to dry rotting at 8000 miles and it looked freaking brand new. First ride with the new shinko front tire and holy crap what a difference the front felt more planted, I could lean it further..I actually could trust the front end now, when riding the stock one hard I would always have to watch to not push it too hard.. wait till you put some good rubber on that bike.
