If you decide you want the paint to look better close-up, sand it a little with some 400 grit wet and dry, and put a coat of Spraymax 2K on it. It's a very tough 2-part clear that comes in a spray can with a push button on the bottom to mix the two parts. You'd need at least two cans at a bit over $20 per can.
Thanks. If I want to have the paint look better I will probably go ahead and buy a Chinese fairing set. The plastic work is about a 20' job in some places also. There were a total of three pieces missing that I just put duct tape on backside and started pouring thin layers of ABS cement
