Then measure actual resistance of kickstand-switch and make sure it's has correct ohms as dictated by FSM. It's very, very easy for switch to get mis-aligned and not triggered properly by kickstand. It doesn't matter one bit if kickstand is up or not, it's state of switch that counts.

In fact, on my race-bike, I don't even have kickstand and bracket is ground completely off frame. But guess what? I still have kickstand-switch and it must be depressed for bike to start and run.
