Cool

Saturday morning, I was riding with my wife as a passenger.

A white BMW SUV made an illegal left turn over double yellow in front of us.

I didn't expect it but I saw it coming as soon as the SUV started slowing down and I look to the face of the driver, who was looking over his left side, ahead of our location.

He went for it as fast as he could, while my front tire stopped at less than six inches of his passing-by car.

I never did a SMIDSY because it was not an intersection and I did not have time to look in the mirrors.
Later, I realized that he decided going because he didn't see a car when he looked through us.

My advice to all street riders once again: practice emergency braking at least once weekly, ride the streets with the controls covered, work on your visual skills, don't speed (much) and stay alert every second of your rides.
