I believe one very smart man once said "for every reaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction", and we so rarely question that statement. So under that context, it's not that far of a stretch to put some amount of stock in gia theory. Although, I am not sure about the whole "mother earth" aspect of it. Perhaps, the force is more of the physical representation of "the theory of everything."

Or, perhaps the Force is Dark Energy/Dark Matter. Those things that we haven't found yet that make up 95% of everything we see and know and counter acts gravity.
