I have an EXO-1000 and it's very nice. It's heavy though, and my neck definitely feels it after an hour or so. The EXO-500 might not be as heavy. It just depends on the features it has. The 1000 is heavy because it has the internal sun visor and the air bladder system.
The EXO fit me very tight when I first got it. I normally wear a medium and the EXO medium was a lot smaller than my other helmet, which is a Bell. Over time, though, it has broken in and is comfortable now. I've probably worn it 5 or 6 times, so it didn't take long.
