There should be an O-ring between centre-hole in tank and outer-ring of cap. I found that O-ring isn't very secure and tends to move around when installing even though there's a groove in outer-ring. I tacked ring in place on the outer-ring with some super-glue so it would be centered when installing. Been OK so far.

Next step if it didn't stay was to use some RTV on top first to make sure it stays centered (let dry first). Then use RTV on bottom when installing.

Also note on SSR site says some configurations may require 2 O-rings stacked on top of each other.

There's also a thin O-ring between center cap and outer ring. But mine wasn't leaking there, probably mostly went out in gap between tank and outer-ring since that was at lower level.
