Dumped the vinegar out of the tank, went ahead and got a another petcock off ebay along with other misc parts to get the motor turned over. sprayed the gas tank with wd40, and capped it off. Got most of the rust out but there's still a bunch up under the topside of the tank. Looks like I'm going to to have to turn the tank upside down and do the treatment again. Nice, guess I wasn't the only one doing the vinegar bath. From what I saw, it looked pretty clean at the top but that was definitely my concern because I had the tank upright the whole time albeit the thing was filled to the tip of the fill ring.
Took me forever to clean it out after I dumped the vinegar but the bike works. Lined the tank with some 2 stroke oil to prevent flash rust.
