the end of the very short accompanying write-up said that the police were sharing this video hoping it will help them identify the suspect.
does that mean the car shooting this video didn't bother to identify the Mazda after seeing this happen? they just allowed the Mazda to drive away without getting a shot of the license plate? that's some bad luck.
But, yeah, I would never "confront while riding." Today in American there are way too many people absolutely on the very edge of exploding (hate the traffic, hate their job, hate their spouse, hate the country, hate you).
