How do they mount? I think Shoguns are probably the best choice strictly due to their design. If you mount a slider on a long support the forces of a crash WILL bend the support. Even Shinto sliders, which mount to a bracket that attatches to the engine, would more than likely twist and possibly cause damage to the cases. The Shogun sliders mount to frame points and should withstand a major get-off without causing frame damage.

My SV has sliders that mount by 1 bolt to the head mounting bolt; I have stripped the threads out on a fairly minor spill.

In the end you get what you pay for. I am getting the Shogun because I believe it will be cheaper in the long run.
