It's likely. Mine isn't connected either. I have vortex rearsets and I'd need an adapter, but since it's a track bike who cares. The way his rear tire skips out so suddenly leads me to believe the tire locked up. The white smoke further leads me to that conclusion. I don't see a 300 spinning up the tire enough to make it smoke that bad.
