Quite a few members have used zipties (or something similar) to secure their carbs and/or pod filter to the frame. Same reasoning as you.
If it makes you feel better, go for it. If you don't want to worry about it, it's not necessary. 6000+ miles on mine with the carbs/filter just dangling and no problems yet.
