True regarding the Kevlar it does defeat the purpose of chainmail. I was almost thinking a simple long sleeve chain shirt and weaving 550 cord into the rows of rings to provide more shape and hold it tighter. I’ll start this experiment this weekend. Shirt will take 4 months to complete at the minimum
