I'm going through the same growing pains so I definitely wouldn't be able to advise but I would REALLY recommend any of the MSF type courses. That way you'll get to practice all the emergency maneuvers in a safe place without the possibility of messing up your bike. Swerves and emergency downshift/stop without locking things up - never know when you might need it.
