I have HotGrips and have been using them for the past few weeks (low 40's in the am).

Last year I rode in temps in the low 20's with the heated grips and insulated motorcycle gloves and had no issues.

I definitely recommend the HotGrips ones. I enjoy the thicker grips compared to stock, and they heat up quick and get HOT on full power. They're well made.

I did not want to spend hours running the wiring, soldering connections, hiding wires, installing fuses/relays, etc. to install a piece of garbage $5 set of heaters that I wouldn't appreciate. If you're going to do it, do it the right way.

I also got a factory looking slide switch to replace the cheap ass toggle switch. I've gotta remember to take a picture of it at some point.
