I learned that one on the back of an ST1300 with my dad while we were doing about 80 while riding back from the COG National in Canaan Valley, 2007.
I heard that a guy broke his neck doing that. I will turn my head, but not too rapidly. I have a pretty good sized neck so I can keep my head on my shoulders, which is always a good thing.
Also, NEVER LOOK STRAIGHT UP, if my chin strap hadn't of been on (but it always is), one of my helmets would be in a lake right now. That was terrifying.
