10k elevation climbing race? and it's in Hawaii!?! that sounds badass!!!
My mileage has gone up the last two months because I finally have time. I finished up finals in early May. During the school year, it's really hard to fit more than 30-40 miles a week in, and when it's cold/icey/salty/rainy/snowy here from Nov-April, it's really hard to get outside. I spend a lot of time on the trainer in 30 minute increments during those months, or I swim in the pool or run on the indoor track.
I'm enjoying this wonderful thing called sunshine during the summer. Trying to average as close to 100 miles a week as I can manage for the summer.
