That's strange that McMaster-Carr made that warning. Saint-Gobain makes it, and they don't have that warning on their site. The actually say that it's for "general automotive use", among other applications. I've been using it with pump gasoline (E10) for several years now, with no odd things happening.

I wonder what they mean by "ethanol based gasoline", since gasoline with 10% ethanol isn't ethanol based, it's gasoline based with some ethanol added. I wonder it they're referring to E85, which would qualify as ethanol based.

allseasonsparts.com sells it, and they say "Ethanol: Compatible with greater than 10% ethanol fuel".

I think I'll continue to use it as I have been and not worry about E10 compatibility.
