Thanks everyone for your input. I don't take offense to anything anyone said. I wholly agree with all of you. I absolutely have been taking this learning experience way too lightly and need to slow it down. I have already found myself in way too many compromising situations and I think you guys helped me find that out.

The next time I ride I will be taking it much easier, and will do so for the next while.

I have not taken the course but will be taking it quite soon.
