Hey K&N screwed the pooch again. The filter came with 2 large O rings and neither of them felt correct in the housing. A skinny one and a fat one, the fatter one was just too large to fit into the cartridge housing, didn't seat in and feel right and a lot of slack if you ran the entire circle some bulged out.

The Hiflo401 came with an O ring that worked perfectly. You felt the O ring "seat" into the cartridge housing and no extra on the outskirts.

hiflo looks comparable to the K&N in quality, feel and weight. Its even the same color.

Hiflo likely produces the filters for K&N.
