Seriously, here's the thing: You can't go out 'shopping' for a relationship because you think that's going to make you happy. It's not. You need to lose that mentality, relax and go do the things you're interested in, and eventually you'll bump into someone who's doing the same things and hit it off. Girls are looking for someone who's comfortable and well adjusted just doing their thing. Not someone who's obviously "on the prowl." I've been approached while just sitting with my crossword while waiting for breakfast - She 'noticed me' because it was part of my routine, and walking by that spot every day was part of her routine. Sometimes that's all it takes.
Also, it probably helps to be ridiculously good looking.
