From talking with Bridgestone rep at track, they said R11 was developed as race-tyre first. Then they added some tread to comply with DOT for those classes requiring DOT-approved tyres.

Info I'm looking for is comparative data between different tyres with: same rider, same track, same day. Even same rider on different days will result in additional variables.

For example for S20 review with Dave Moss (I can't find link now), he mentioned rider using them got 2:11 at Thunderhill East; which is really good for street tyre. But we don't know what kind of rider that was.

In comparison, when Dave was racing 250-Superbike, he got 2:01 on Pirelli slicks. Another data point: Marc Edwards on his 300WSS bike got 2:02 on Q3+ spec tyres. Still looking for some info R11 times.
