Lopez Dr

A video of a scenic portion of a ride earlier this afternoon/evening. Mostly higher speed sweepers instead of my usual technical twisties. Still working on the camera issue. I think I solved the vibration noise from the battery, but I think the screen is still vibrating, especially at certain RPMs. Gonna have to disassemble it again and pack some more electrical tape in there.

What pipe do you have on your bike? It sounds nice on the video does it sound the same in real life? Where do you mount your camera on the bike or is it on your helmet or body? There seems to be a normal amount of vibes not bad

Nice video. I ride this once in a while. Have you done HWY 227 (Carpenter Canyon) yet?

Yep, a few times; in fact we did 227 on the way down to Lopez Dr from SLO. Have you been to sloriders.com? This was with a few people from there.

It's just the stock pipe. I think part of the sound you're hearing is actually the screen vibrating, not the exhaust.

The camera is mounted to the left fairing with a suction cup mount. The lense is about an inch below the left side rear view mirror, about even with it.

Here's some pictures of the camera mount with the waterproof case attached (the camera goes inside the case).

Cool, hope to see you on some of the rides. Always nice to have a fellow Ninjette there.

Nice video, how did you get rid of the wind noise for your cam?

I think since the housing is waterproof it's also wind proof. I've never had any wind noise problem, just vibration noise due to the battery carrier being too large for the batteries and the LCD screen not being properly installed. Also one of the problems with the waterproof case is it is a sealed environment, and tends to fog up. I bought a pair of desiccant strips and have had mixed luck with them.
