displays

Is it possible to get a different display for a 04 ninja? I was wondering if it was possible to get one of the newer models that has the gas gage on it. I hate not knowing my gas level when I drive.

to have a gas gauge, you'd need all the crap in the tank that floats and reads the level in the tank.

just reset your trip odometer when you fill up. calculate your average mileage every time you fill up. re-fill the tank at the mileage where about 4 gallons will have been used (about where the reserve kicks in) and you'll be just fine.

I had a civic that had a broken gas gauge. For years we had no idea how much gas was in the tank, we just used the mileage tracking method. Worked fine. It works fine on bikes too. I know that's not the answer you wanted, but in short, just keep track of the mileage and remember that the reserve setting is your friend.

^ He's right, without the sending unit in the tank, none of the fuel gauges you could buy would work.

Uhm no, you can just add a gas gauge to your cluster and it will work
