My '09 Ninjette a few months later:
Haven't really posted since my 'Intro' post when I picked up a stock '09, w 2k on it — at a Toyota Dealership (?) for <$2K!.
Over the summer I did the exhaust, Dyna Jet kit, K&N, Race Tech fork springs, 600 Ninja rear shock, S.S. front brake line, clip-ons, pre-load adjusters, 'zip-tie' throttle mod, switched passenger pegs to replace driver position pegs, Galfer pads, solo tail, green bolt kit, Zero Gravity windscreen, flush-mount turn signals, rear fender eliminator and tucked-under rear turn signals, and tires (BT45's)... 'Done' for the time being...and it's STILL a pretty 'cheap' bike. Last futzed with by PlanB; October 4th, 2011 at 07:52 AM. Reason: add on to list |

Guess there was no serious commission to be made so it was a deal no one wanted to deal with? Anyway...the salesman I worked with told me that the previous owner traded it in towards a Prius — after buying it in late '10 (as an unsold '09 model) — because they dumped it once. It does have some minor signs of a low-speed drop; Mirror shell, brake lever ball end, old turn signals cracked, scuffed... But strictly minor cosmetic stuff. So...all in all, it was well worth the pursuit. |

Dang. Nice steal! A (not-so-local) car dealer east of here was selling a 2010 for 2.8K flat (fees included) with less than 200 miles for the same reason. Too bad I missed that boat haha.
Anyways, the bike looks great! And I really like it without the vinyl's and such. |
