Norcal Tech-Day?

How come all the socal guys get to have all the fun?

Anyone up here in the Bay Area want to get together for a tech day? I have garage space and can host, but I do not have a full set of tools required. Also not sure about what my neighbors think about a bunch of guys revving their motorcycles on the weekend, but there's a Starbucks 4 blocks away usually with Harleys in front so we can go "tune" there

And, we actually need someone who knows what they are doing to supervise

Norcal riders speak up!

Doh, normally I'd be in but I'm out of town from Friday 11/18 until Sunday 11/27. So I'm pretty hosed for the dates. Anyone want to check/adjust my valves and check my wheel bearings for me while I'm off on vacation?

There wasn't a whole lot of interest based on the initial post. So I'm not sure if anyone really wants to do it?

Well, when you posted this I had the thought I could truck my bike in, try to do a valve adjustment, just so others could watch/help/give bad advice and learn from my mistakes. But what this needs is someone who actually knows what they're doing (and that would not be me). I'm a born experimentalist, not someone you want giving advice about things I've never done. I also want to pull and clean my carbs, but my confidence I could ride down, do the work, and ride back in a single day is about zero percent.

But I do have tools!

Also, where are you in the bay area? SJ to Santa Rosa is a long distance, so it matters to some...

Crap how did i miss this post?... hmmm I'd be down for a tech day. Not a whole lot I want to do to my bike besides the usual oil change and soon to be EFI conversion. We can try this again if we can figure out a good middle location.

I am in Alameda, just west of Oakland in the East Bay.

My ability to host in January is probably limited though.

Yup, there's a group buy for the efi kit in the "motorcycle related" section... Check it out!

The group buy ends 12-24-11.
