Icon Urban Tank bag/backpack

I've had this for a while and can give an honest opinion of it.

The material feels kinda cheap which is contrary to how its holding up to my abuse. The magnets feel as they may be a bit weak but again, its never even acted like it was coming off.
It gets used on my commutes to work when I ride which is 60 miles round trip and I ride ~3x a week weather permitting. It has a helmet holder when converted to back pack but I never use it. All I think about is my 500 Shoei smacking the parking lot or slipping out at work and hitting the floor. No, I'll just carry that.
There is all kinds of room to pack things into and it doesnt look all that unnatural on either of my bikes and its comfortable to lean on.

All in all, it was the perfect solution for me because I do not like riding with a back pack on. It limits my ability to maneuver especially after work when I am sore. Not even sure what would happen in the case of a spill and you land on your back with a back pack. Converting it is simple and I can have a tank bag to back or vice versa in less than a minute.

Its still holding up like it did when I bought it at start of the season.

Hope this helps, for anyone looking for a solution to the back pack dilemma.

My friend has this bag on his somewhat overly modified old Suzuki GS750.

I tried it on my ninjette, but the "front" magnets was over the side fairing when I stretched the bag over the tank, so I had to put them near the end of the tank leaving a space between the tank and the bag, is it the samething on your side? That's what preventing me buying this one. I tought that the space and the vibrations could induce some rubbing and scratching of the tank.

Ohterwise, the bas looks very practical and my friend likes it a lot, he says the only thing missing are compression straps, it would make the bag smaller when not completely full...

I just stretch the front magnets to the front of the gas tank. Its worked great so far. If you clean the magnets off after every time you take it off, I dont see how it would scratch your tank. It hasnt mine.

My vote still goes for the Rapid Transit tank bag. It's by far the best one Ive ever seen for the Ninja 250....like it was made for it.

That Icon is nice, but the magnets and underside on the Rapid Transit bag are rubber coated on the tank side, and assuming you don't pick up a paper clip on one...they don't scratch the tank. The tabs are much larger too.
