[motorcycledaily.com] - After Undergoing Second Surgery on Broken Arm, Marc Marquez W
It was supposed to be an heroic comeback … racing less than a week after surgery to repair the broken arm of Marc Marquez. Marquez said he was a champion, and that he “had to try.” Well, actually, he didn’t. On the eve of a triple header (back-to-back races at Brno and the Red Bull […]

Looks like he re-injured the arm, had to undergo surgery again. This time he will sit out at least a weekend, and his team is likely wishing they recommended the same last time.

His reckless attitude finally caught up to him. At least he didn't take anyone else out this time.

Throwing a MotoGP bike around a week after an arm break did seem a little silly; there's a reason that it's generally not done. His crash statistics were starting to come down as well, so it shows averages don't really matter, it only takes one. After leading MotoGP in crashes for 2017 & 2018, 2019 was a reasonable improvement. He crashes about as much as Crutchlow, but wins championship after championship while doing so while Cal continues to fight for decent rides.

Most of his crashes are "soft" low-sides. I'd venture to say this is his first "hard" crash, and certainly his biggest injury since moving up to MotoGP.
My issues with him is that he plays bumper cars (bikes) with everyone else on the track, skirts the line (sometimes crosses) of the rules, and never gets punished for it.

The 200+ mph crash a few years ago was pretty eye-opening, but thankfully there wasn't a hard stop at the end of it. He has walked away from more than most, we'd probably agree. Marquez isn't my favorite, but the skill he shows while the bike is essentially already out of control is unlike anything I've ever seen. I do think his bumper cars reputation has faded a bit, but perhaps some of that is just because he's been running from the front almost exclusively the last few years.
