exhaust clamp loosened
Bought a 2007 ninja 250 with 1000 miles. Ran it about 1000 miles and the nuts holding the exhaust clamp at the engine loosened to the point the collar fell off and the gasket fell out. Anyone have problems similar to this. Thanks for any input

If only 1 collar came loose, I'm not sure the exhaust pipe (header) can move far enough to let the gasket out. But to answer your question.....I've never had one come loose.

exhaust clamp loosened
I replaced the missing nuts and tightened them but I still have an bad exhaust leak. I have ordered new gaskets to see if I can stop the leak.

It's possible that the exhaust tube isn't going into the port on the head all the way, when you tighten the collar it should (the part that the nuts hold on) be against the head. It's also possible that you did loose the "extensions" that go between the collar and the stepped end of the pipe. They are #92143 in Bike Bandit's parts fish, http://www.bikebandit.com/oem-parts/...9388#sch283670

exhaust clamp loosened
Thanks for the help/info I took apart the headers and the collar on the right side was missing. I didn't realize the the collar was in two pieces and would fall out if the nuts and clamp came loose. This happened with less than 2000 mi. It must have been left loose at the factory. I hope the valves have not been damaged by the lack of back pressure. Thanks again
